Description
Here is a really old English Bone China teacup and saucer, made by W.A.A & Co in Longton Staffordshire in the “Spray” No. 16 pattern, decorated with colorful bluebells and wildflowers on an embossed design, with the design continuing on the inside of the cup. The colors are still bright and vivid. Very pretty indeed. Make sure you stick your pinky out when having afternoon tea.
Mark is from William Alsager Adderley and dates from 1886-1905
The teacup measures about 2 1/8″ high and 3 1/8″ across not including the handle. The saucer measures 5 3/8″ across. It is in very good condition, no chips, cracks or crazing, some very minor wear to the trim and a couple of tiny pits on the saucer from age. For a teacup that is well over 100 years old it looks great. Please look at the photos closely as they are part of the description.
