Description
This is a delightful an piece of Limoges, a stunningly beautiful Haviland & Co Small Serving Plate or Salad/Luncheon from Limoges, France. It is wonderfully decorated with pink roses and green leaves on a white background sometime known as pink spray and a gold beaded moriage trim. Colors are still very vivid. Great craftsmanship and not something you see every day. The photos do not do it justice.
The manufacturing mark dates this piece from the 1894-1931. The decorators mark dates this to 1889 to 1931. This matches the design of other similar pieces we have from the late 1800s, so likely from 1891 to 1899.
It measures 8 5/8″ in diameter.
For its age it is extremely good condition. Remember it is well over 125 years old. There are no chips, cracks or scratches on the pot, very minor wear if any. It is absolutely lovely.
