This is a delightful and extremely rare piece of Limoges, a stunningly beautiful Martial Redon Coffee Chocolate Tea Pot from Limoges, France. It is wonderfully decorated with hand painted pastel pink roses on a white background. It has beautiful gold work around the trim, spout and handle in an antique design. The “ruffles”, finial, Fleur-de-lis design and handle have been embellished with a radiant gold with a lovely pastel pink which gives this gorgeous, chocolate pot its elegant appearance. Great craftsmanship.
The photos do not do it justice.
The mark dates this piece from the 1891 to 1896.
The pot measures just under 10″ high and 5″ wide without the handle and 7″ with the handle and spout. It is a nice size.
For its age it is remarkable if not exceptional condition. Remember it is well over 100 years old. There are no chips, cracks or scratches on this piece. The gold trim is in great shape with almost no sign of wear. This was obviously just put on display. It is absolutely lovely.
This could be the centerpiece of anyone’s collection, brighten up any room sitting on the mantel or china cabinet.
