1906-20 Vintage Factory Decorated Limoges France Coronet Borgfeldt Flying Game Bird Plate Signed "Dercou"

Description

This is a absolutely stunning plate from George Borgfeldt in Limoges, France decorated with a game bird design which is a mixture of transferware and hand painting with hand applied raised enamel accents, and a scalloped heavy gold trim. It is signed “Dercou”. A really lovely piece. The colors are so vivid and bright and quite unusual to see a flying bird design as most are of birds on the ground.

The Borgfeldt decorating mark dates this piece to 1906-1920.

Measures approx. 10.25″ in diameter.

It is in very good condition, no chips, cracks or crazing with very some minor wear to the trim probably from plate hangers, some minor pitting from age, looks like it has only been on display.
