Description
This is a rare 1955 Modern Bride’s Primer ON BEING A HOSTESS. This booklet has 15 sections on how to be the perfect hostess from a bride’s gift registry, to her tableware to menus for everything from a cocktail party, tea part to a formal dinner party. It even has a checklist of appliances and accessores every bride should have. I love reading this type of vintage books to realize how much our culture has changed and yet has stayed the same. It is no longer limited to the woman, but we all want to excel at entertaining, although usually in a more casual way.
Condition: Good (especially considering its age) with a small stain on the cover and a tear to the back cover, some discoloration from age, and some erased marking on the back page. Please examine the photos to see the quality and condition of this piece.
