Description
This is an Antique Humphrey Lloyd Wales Hand Colored Engraving, which was in the south west of England, and is beautifully hand colored. Originally from an old velum Latin History book as you can see from the reverse. Humphrey Lhuyd as was his Welsh name, lived from 1527-1568 and was a well recognized map maker famous for his copper engraved maps.
There is a little wear and tear, some dis-colorization and staining on the edges, some old tape holding part of the seam at the back but really in remarkably good condition considering its age.
Measures 22 1/4″ by 17 3/4″.
