Description
Here is an antique Meissen crossed swords teacup and saucer featuring a hand painted design of pink roses. The saucer is in the early form, with the raised lip of the saucer being very pronounced almost a shallow bowl, likely from early to mid 1800s when they used them to sip or cool the tea.
Has the Meissen crossed swords hand painted blue mark under the glaze.
The cup measures 2.5″ in diameter not including the handle and 2″ high.
The saucer measures 4.25″ in diameter with the lip being 1″ high.
It is in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks or crazing. Please look at the photos closely as they are part of the description.
