Description
A superb Crown Derby Style Campagna Vase from the early 1800s so it is 200 years old. Crown Derby is one of England’s oldest bone china manufacturers. It has a hand painted scene of Windsor Castle which is just delightful along with gilding on a cobalt blue background. This is really something quite special.
The mark is a variation from the standard three dots crown derby mark that was used from 1782 to 1820, it has initials that could signify the artist who painted the scene which might have been one of the Victorian ladies of leisure in the early 1800s. This was very common to sell blanks for painting.
The vase measures about 7″ high and 5.25″ wide. It is in amazing condition considering its age. There are no chips or cracks. Some minor wear on the some parts of the gold trim. The inside is clean.
