Here is an incredible teacup and saucer from Crown Derby from the 1800s. Royal Crown Derby is one of England’s oldest bone china manufacturers. It is beautifully decorated in a orange and gold floral design. It is hand decorated with lots of gold outlining which has lasted for 200 years. The saucer has a considerable raised edge indicative of that time period.
The crowned D mark for Crown Derby was used from 1782 to 1825, but the red color was the standard after 1800.
The cup measures 3.25″ in diameter, 4.5″ with the handle and 2″ high.
The saucer measures just under 5.5″ in diameter.
It is in remarkable vintage condition with no chips or cracks, just some minor wear on the gold edges and what spot on the saucer, a couple of very tiny iron spots and crazing to be expected of something 200 years old. The main hand painted design is in great shape. Please look at the photos closely as they are part of the description.
Perfect to add to any collection or a gift to the tea or coffee lover.
