We are offering French Cooking For the Home – The Great Cooks’ Cookbooks by Arlene Feltman-Sailhac and presented by DeGustibus. This is one of my favorite French cookbook offerings. It offers a menu for the meal, including an appetizer, entrée and dessert, along with wine suggestions for all 3 courses. It has some recipes that I, an amateur cook, might even attempt as they are not as daunting as some French cookbooks even though it has recipes from famous chefs like Julia Childs.
DeGustibus is a cooking school inside of Macy’s at Herald Square in New York. They have renowed and international chefs and sommeliers who give demonstrations and tastings. Arlene Feltman-Sailhac began the school in 1980.
The recipes inside the book are from the following chefs (you may recognize some of these names) – Julia Child, David Bouley, Daniel Boulud, Antoine Bouterin, Christian Delouvrier, Jean-Michel Diot, Pierre Franey, Gray Kunz, Jacques Pepin, Alain Sailhac, Andre Soltner, and Jean-Georges Vongerichten.
