Description

Here is a very cute and very old hand painted dish made of soft paste porcelain with a bego glaze that dates this to the very early 1800s. Decorated with a castle scene with muted blue clouds and people waving to someone in a boat all surrounded with a pink trim and black edge.

There are no marking but probably from Japan based on the scene.

It measures just over 5.5″ and weighs only 4oz also indicative of that time period.

It is in excellent vintage condition for its age. The painting has no marks that I can see, there are a couple of spots on the black edge that have worn through, probably were it was on a stand.
