Description
Here is a spectacular tall pitcher or vase made in Altrohlau region of Austria by Moritz Zdekauer, Bank beautifully decorated with hanging pink and yellow roses in such detail accented with hand painted enamel on the petals to give it a great 3D effect. It is so colorful and will brighten up any room and what a conversation piece.
Just Imagine putting fresh roses in this and using this as a vase. What a statement and centerpiece this would make.
The MZ Austria mark indicates that this was made between 1880 and 1909.
The pitcher measures 6.25″in diameter at the base and 4″ at the top and 12.5″ tall, so it is a very good size. It is also quite heavy and sturdy.
It is in remarkable vintage condition, some wear spots here and there, the handle has a small crack visible, but seems sturdy and usable still, remember it is over 100 years old, but the painting is in excellent shape. Just look at the quality and condition.
