This Whiting Madame Jule sterling silver five o’clock spoon is just lovely. This piece is not monogrammed. A five o’clock spoon is found in antique flatware sets because these spoons were used for five o’clock tea before dinner. They are just beautiful and would look great with other antique sterling flatware.
Whiting was founded in 1866 in Massachusetts by William Dean Whiting. The company was purchased by Gorham, who produced Whiting’s patterns until 1926.

These five o’clock spoons are marked with the Whiting hallmark, Sterling Pat. 1909.
Each pieces is in very good vintage condition with some scratching from storage and use.
The individual salad forks measure approximately 5-1/2″ long.
This five o’clock teaspoon sells for approximately $35 or more each on replacement sites.
