Here is a cute old Hardcover Illustrated Childrens Big Little Book "Erik Noble and the Forty-Niners" by Lloyd E. Smith, illustrated by B. McNaughton and published by the Whitman Publishing co in 1934. The Big Little Books, were first created in 1932 by Sam Lowe for Whitman Publishing Co. The name, though seemly paradoxical, promised "the buyer a great amount of reading material and pleasure (BIG) within a small and compact (LITTLE) book."
In very good condition. Binding is solid. Cover has wear on edges and corners, pages are yellowed likely from the depression era paper used, but still readable and presentable. Looks Great.
The measure approx. 4.5" by 3.75′ by 1.5".
