Description
Here is a beautiful two pot brass inkwell made in Japan incredibly decorated with flowing water and seashell design typical of the art nouveau period. Has two ink wells with attached lids, and a space for the pens. It is large and heavy and would make a great display piece.
The brass has only been lightly cleaned and not polished so it has a nice vintage patina. Since it is solid brass it will polish up nicely if you so desire.
It measures 8" wide and 7 " deep and 2.5" high. It is in pretty good condition no dents or dings , some minor wear or tarnish that would likely clean up if polished. It looks like the inkwells had finials at one time.
