These vintage aurora borealis crystal clip earrings are absolutely beautiful! The beads of these earrings are wired together showing the quality of the workmanship. What wonderful sparkling earrings that will enhance with the color of whatever you are wearing. You can see how they have picked up the pink and blue colors of the flowers they are next to in the photos.
These earrings are not signed.
They are in good vintage condition with some minor wear to the metal.
These earrings measure approximately 1″ in diameter.
What is aurora borealis? Aurora borealis stones are coated with thin layers of metal to enhance brilliance and reflective color quality. The method used in coating the stone involves vaporizing metals in a vacuum. This method was first developed by Swarovski Crystals in 1955. Of course, it was then copied by other jewelry manufacturers.
