This is a beautiful teacup and saucer by Hammersley & Co China England with lcolorful wilflowersa gentle scalloped edge and gold trim. This is well above average for a teacup.
Hammersley is one of England finest bone china manufacturers which started manufacturing in 1885 in North Staffordshire, England.
The mark was used from 1939 on, but the cup is probably from the 1950s or 60s.
I have a few other teacups that are from Hammersley but with different designs but the same style that would be lovely for afternoon tea.
The cup measures 3.25″ in diameter by 2″ high.
The saucer measures 5.5″ in diameter.
It is in excellent vintage condition no chips or cracks that I could see, some very minor wear spots. The gold trim is in good shape. Please look at the photos closely to see the incredible quality of this piece and see how good the condition is.
