What a unique pair of vintage aurora borealis rhinestone clip earrings with floral spray and sunburst design elements! These are just beautiful and each rhinestone is individually pronged, which is why these earrings are in such wonderful condition – they are well made and well cared for! The aurora borealis stones are predominantly blue on a silver tone setting.

These measure approximately just under 1-3/4″ tall by 3/4″ wide.
What is aurora borealis? Aurora borealis stones are coated with thin layers of metal to enhance brilliance and reflective color quality. The method used in coating the stone involves vaporizing metals in a vacuum. This method was first developed by Swarovski Crystals in 1955. Of course, it was then copied by other jewelry manufacturers.
